Schedule: Part -Time | 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM - Saturday and Sunday

Here’s What You’re Responsible For

- Oversees Health Services staff in the absence of the Nurse Manager. Acts as whole house manager on duty at community. Directs day-to–day job function duties of resident assistants (STNAs, PCAs) and Nurses (LPNs and RNs). Makes staffing decisions.
- Oversees and monitors care of the residents.
- Conducts resident and associate injury investigations and determines appropriate resolution.
- Handles injury documentation at time of incident.
- Makes written and oral reports/recommendations to the Director.
- Participates in State survey.
- Acts as charge nurse as needed which includes giving and receiving the nursing report upon the start and end of each shift, providing individualized attention, implements plan of care, dispenses medication, takes vital signs and starts mid-line pic line, 1 st bag antibiotic, IVs as ordered. Takes cultures and specimens. Reviews and documents activities via MARS and TARS and AOD.
- Performs all job responsibilities in accordance with prescribed safety and infection control procedures including thorough hand washing, use of disposable gloves where indicated, and proper disposal of soiled materials.
- Admissions, transfers and discharge functions as assigned.
- Communicates with Doctor(s), families, and other health professionals.
- Current Ohio RN/LPN license required. RN preferred.
- Diploma from accredited nursing school.
- Previous nursing experience in a continuing care retirement community or hospital with supervisory experience preferred.
- Must possess a customer service background and orientation with demonstrated problem solving skills.
- Microsoft office proficiency. Electronic medical records knowledge preferred.
