I am a graduate nurse practitioner student at Maryville University seeking a NP, MD, or DO for the following clinical opportunities:
Fall 2024:
Clinical timeframe of 11 weeks, beginning early September, & would include 80 hours of experience.
Primary student skill development includes taking a history & physical, performing a physical assessment, and diagnosis.
Spring 2025, Summer 2025, or Fall 2025:
Each clinical timeframe is 16 weeks & would include 250 hours of experience.
Primary skill development includes the continuation of H/P, assessment, and diagnoses, as well as development & reassessment of plan of care with increasing independence under the guidance of the preceptor.
A bit of background about myself: I have been a practicing bedside nurse since July 2015, with my primary work experience being within cardiac units and the intensive care unit. I have a passion for cardiology & cardiac surgery & hope to transition to a role that encompasses the care of that patient population in some way. I am licensed in both Indiana & Illinois, & more than willing to travel within those areas for experiences.
